Sometimes you know you want things to change, but you’re not quite sure where to begin. You may be trying to understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, or figure out how to move forward while staying connected to who you are. I’m Bourin, a therapist who brings both professional and lived experience to my work. As a Cambodian American, gay, nonbinary person, I understand how identity, culture, family, and life experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and navigate the world. Together, we can explore your story, recognize patterns, work through difficult experiences, and find ways to move forward with greater clarity.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, adjustment, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions, including survivors of sexual assault, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients. Together, we can explore your experiences, strengthen coping and communication skills, and help you feel more empowered in your life.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’ve had experiences of not feeling heard or understood. You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out. We can start where you are, make sense of what brought you here, and work together to identify what you need to feel more confident, grounded, and empowered.
